What is LinguaBase?

LinguaBase is a free online language learning platform designed for languages that lack sufficient learning tools. We provide dictionary, flashcard (spaced repetition), and typing practice features — all available offline and at no cost.

Our Mission

Millions of people speak languages like Yoruba, Hausa, Punjabi, and Javanese, yet quality digital learning tools for these languages remain scarce. LinguaBase aims to bridge this gap by offering accessible, fun, and effective language learning tools for everyone.

Supported Languages

• Yoruba — Spoken by over 50 million people, primarily in Nigeria
• Hausa — Spoken by over 94 million people across West Africa
• Punjabi — Spoken by over 150 million people in Pakistan and India
• Javanese — Spoken by over 98 million people in Indonesia
• Japanese — Spoken by over 125 million people in Japan

More languages are planned for future updates.

Why Free?

We believe language learning should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income or location. LinguaBase is free to use, works offline after first load, and requires no account creation. Our goal is to reach learners in developing countries where paid tools are not an option.
